Monday Warmup: Push vs. Drift (2013-05-06)
We saw many simulations where we could push an object or let it drift. Can you spot the difference from a velocity-time graph?
1. What happened during STAGE A of this voyage?
It gained speed.
It had a steady speed.
2. What happened during STAGE A of this voyage?
It got an unbalanced push from behind.
Any pushes or pulls were completely balanced.
3. What happened during STAGE B of this voyage?
It gained speed.
It drifted at a steady speed.
4. What happened during STAGE B of this voyage?
It got an unbalanced push from behind.
Any pushes or pulls were completely balanced.
Monday Exercise: Reading a V-t Graph (2013-05-06)
This Quia exercise gives you a chance to read a basic Velocity-time graph to tell the story of an object in motion.
Visit the Quia quiz linked above.
